OUR MISSION
Student Programs, a department in the division of Student Affairs, maximizes student learning, personal development and achievement in student organizations through advising and services. The Student Programs staff are educators committed to excellence in all areas of programming, leadership development and extracurricular learning.

Kevin Bailey
Associate Vice President

Bailey supervises the Department of Student Programs as well as all directors, activities and events that fall within the department. He eventually reviews all contracts that your organization may want to enter into. Bailey also directly advises Tulane University Legal Assistance Program (TULAP) and other student organizations.

Jane Rushing

Jane supervises the budget process for all student organizations recognized by student government. She can answer questions related to your organization’s finances including monthly budget statements, budget proposals, and payment methods for organizational events. Jane also advises the Undergraduate Student Government and Graduate and Professional Student Association finance committees. She also reviews contracts and helps program events like the Welcome Back Student Organization Meeting.

Tel François Bailliet

Tel advises all media organizations: The Hullabaloo newspaper, WTUL radio (91.5-FM), TUBE-TV, Literary Society/Tulane Review, Messenger multicultural newspaper, Jambalaya yearbook and the Media Board. She also advises academic organizations such as the Tulane University Neuroscience Association and political student organizations. In addition, if your organization needs an e-mail, MyTulane or web account, contact her. Tel helps Jane and Jered plan department-sponsored events throughout the year.

Jered Bocage
Director of Student Governance & Resources

Jered advises undergraduate and graduate student governments and supervises all student organization resources. See Jered if you have any questions about student government, Homecoming Court, how to start a new organization, or any other student organization-related questions. Jered reviews contracts and programs events like the Student Crest Awards. Jered also reigns supreme over the Student Organization Center in the LBC Garden Level, so if you need to know anything about the SOC, he’s the guy to ask.

Vanessa King
Executive Secretary

Vanessa works in the front office of Student Programs, located in the Center for Student Involvement. She can answer any and all sorts of questions, assist in obtaining forms for things such as room reservations and financial matters, distribute keys for organizational offices, and accept contracts for events, among other things. If Vanessa can’t help you, she can probably point you in the direction of someone who can.

Adrien McElroy

Adrien advises the Associated Student Body Motor Pool and works closely with the media groups. He also assists with advertising with the Hullabaloo. All requests to use the Motor Pool vans go through Adrien.
