PROGRAMS

WAVEFRONT WEEKEND: Wavefront Weekend is an annual series of events designed to highlight student involvement in the campus and New Orleans communities. A major goal of the weekend is to introduce new students to faculty, staff and returning students.

ACTIVITIES EXPO: Expo is the kickoff event for Wavefront Weekend, Tulane's welcome weekend program. The Expo is a great chance for student organizations to introduce themselves to new and returning students, promote upcoming activities and recruit new members.

WELCOME BACK MEETING: This meeting covers all the basic information for student organizations in a few short hours! Make sure to attend this event scheduled early in the fall semester to find out about new policies, changes to procedure and lots of tips and tricks to make your life as a student organization member easier.

STUDENT ORGANIZATION LEADERSHIP RETREAT (SOLR): SOLR is a weekend-long retreat designed to provide students the opportunity to unleash their leadership potential and to develop the essential skills needed for effective leadership. The focus is on learning about yourself, your philosophy of leadership, and networking to form more cohesive groups of student leaders on campus.

STUDENT CREST AWARDS: The Student Crest Awards are a special effort to recognize student leadership, student organizations, and service to the campus community. If there's someone on campus you think deserves to be recognized, nominate him!

STUDENT PICTURES: At least twice a semester, photographers are brought on campus by Student Programs to help students create memories of their time at Tulane. Sittings are free, and students can buy portrait sets if they wish. These photos are also shared with the Tulane Jambalaya yearbook.

GRADUATION WEEK: Student Programs hosts this capstone experience consisting of events and ceremonies to honor the accomplishments of soon-to-be graduates and to give students a chance for a bit of on-campus fun before graduation.
